What about tipping the crew? This is
a service business, and like most service businesses if the crew worked
hard and did their best for you a tip of about
10 - 15% of the charter fee
is generally customary. The Captain and First Mate
are there to
help you have a great time and catch fish. They will instruct you in the
use of the tackle, and will coach you in fishing techniques. They will
explain the boat, instruct you on the use of the head and various safety
equipment. They will also
clean and bag your catch as you return to port. On the
other hand, if you think the service stinks, stiff them and let the
captain know why you were dissatisfied.
All children are welcome but depending on the
child some kids under 8 years old may be to young to
successfully participate
in the fishing action.
No bananas.
